Norrie - Vocals

Norrie

I first started playing Guitar at 14. Found I could sing quite well at around 8 years old in Scotland.

First gigging band was the 'Soft Construction' 1990 - 95. Then 'Alpha Rhythm' 1995 - 97. Then 'Stonewall Jackson' which changed to 'Mama Joseph' 1997 - 2004. Did loads of duo work and support singing and playing work in between for singer/songwriters. Supported Reef, Man (Welsh Proggers from the 70's) and toured with Focus.

Influences include good 60's beat and psychedelica, good 70's and 80's Rock, good 90's Metal, good Blues, Classical, Jazz, Folk, Country (mainly Bluegrass) and the top Crooners of the 40's and 50's.

Specific bands: The Beatles, Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, early Bee Gees, Jimi Hendrix, The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Pantera, Metallica, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Simon... etc.
