Steve - Bass
I was always destined to be a Bassman. I was too impatient to learn the six string cos I wanted to be in a band straight away.
First band was Medusa with a bunch of school mates (1973-1977) and then I met Nicky Tesco. Formed 'The Tinsels' in 1977 which then became 'Nights in Montreux'. Wrote lots of great songs that went nowhere. Went to Germany in 1980 and played all sorts of music ranging from Blues to German New Wave to West Coast. Returned to England and in 2001 was reunited with Nick in Lick.
Did some theatre work for two years as Bass Player and Musical Director of 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch', playing at the Edinburgh Festival and a two week stint in Italy.
Now play as a stand in Bassman in many bands as well as rocking in 'Tempest'.
I love all kinds of music but especially 70's rock. As a singing bassman my favourite bands were Wishbone Ash, Robin Trower, Yes, Thin Lizzy and Genesis.
